WE ARE SEISHIN RYU KARATE
Founded in 1978 in Foxton, our mission has always been to use our traditional Okinawa karate methods to teach self defense while instilling in our students self-discipline, dedication and pride in our techniques . At Seishin Ryu Karate, each vigorous hour spent training is seen as an opportunity to build confidence and fitness through both mental and physical strength.

Seishin Ryu means new beginnings. Our symbol is one of local Māori design and it is surrounded by an outer circle, which represents perfection. The two images are never connected, which means that karate is a journey that will never reach perfection, because at Seishin Ryu you will always have new beginnings or new learnings to start
